PCMA Capital Chapter will be volunteering at the Humane Rescue Alliance on October 2. We're first doing a little fundraising! We're setting our goal at $1,000! This money will help take care of the average cost of a stay including food, vaccines, spay/neuter, enrichment supplies, and creature comforts like blankets and toys for up to 7 animals.

We will also be collecting donations like food, treats, leashes, etc.

For those interested, the chapter will be going to the shelter on October 2 to make and distribute toys to the dogs and the cats.

We will take pictures and promote our animals on social media in hopes that a potential adopter will see them. We know this organization never turns a DC animal away and this extra boost of publicity can help an animal find a "forever home" more quickly.

Please feel free to donate whatever amount you feel comfortable with-- every bit makes a difference!

$30 - Helps provide microchips for 6 newly adopted animals.

$50 - Will purchase 2 books for the HEAR Program a read aloud program demonstrating the animal-human bond to students in the Humane Education program.

$100 - Helps provide for a medical examination of an injured or abused animal.
