2017 Walk - PACK walkersHelp the Humane Rescue Alliance and WALK WITH US on September 30, 2017.

Walkers fundraise in the weeks prior to the event to help the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) raise much-needed funds to provide comfort and care to over 60,000 animals each year. On September 30, participants will walk together through the Capitol Riverfront neighborhood in a mile-long route (walk route is approximately .7 mile in length).

Registered walkers will receive a t-shirt and goodie bag at the event.

Following the walk, participants will enjoy all of the festivities of the Wiener 500 – Dachshund Dash presented by On Tap Magazine. We have partnered with On Tap this year to provide walkers with an afternoon full of fun, live music, and great food and drinks. HRA will have information booths onsite as well as adoptable animals.

If you're unable to attend on September 30, you can still participate by fundraising. Fundraise on behalf of the animals in your life, or in honor of a pet that made a special impact on you. Every dollar we raise makes a difference and we appreciate your support!

Meet our Grand Marshal, Laika!

2017 Walk Grand Marshal - Laika

Andrea Menendez and her family adopted Laika in June of 2014.

"Before my husband could say 'Hon, now is not the right time for a new dog,' I was already filling out the first of five applications that day for Gobbledygook, Laika's original name. While my husband protested that getting another dog was not the best idea because we had family in town,  I simply handed him Gobbledygook, and by the time I finished the application, he was already saying, 'We should name her Laika, after the first Russian dog in space. She looks like her.' "
