Fundraising Honor Roll

Hello friends and family! I recently volunteered to fundraise for the Fashion for Paws 11th Annual Runway Show on April 8, 2017. Fashion for Paws is a nationally acclaimed, one-of-a-kind fundraising event to benefit the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA). The HRA is DC's largest rescue & animal welfare organization: their services help more than 60,000 animals a year. My goal is raise at least $3,000 by March 31, 2017 to help Fashion for Paws meet its $510,000 fundraising goal for the HRA. If I reach my goal, Lily and I will be strutting our stuff down the runway on April 8th!

This year's event has a very special personal significance for me: it's exactly three years to the day that I was approved to adopt Lily, my wonderful Boston Terrier, from a rescue organization much like the HRA. Lily has changed my life in ways that I can't fully put into words, and every dog has the potential to change a life like she has changed mine. Supporting the HRA will give dogs like Lily an opportunity to live in a safe, loving home, and will give humans like me the opportunity to experience the life-changing unconditional love that dogs so selflessly give. It's a cause that I strongly believe in, so I've very excited to be a part of Fashion for Paws.
