I am not one to ask for much….and those of you that know me know this to be true!!!! But I am participating in the Spring Forward with the Humane Rescue Alliance (HRA) 30-Day Fundraising Challenge from April 1-30. I am helping to raise funds to help cover the cost of care for animals we have the pleasure of caring for, as I cannot handle this cost alone.  We take on all animals, not just cats and dogs…. hence our team name!! I recently took part in fostering recently (for the first time) and would gladly do it again…. once my resident dog cooperates…and even fostering helps alleviate the financial burden of caring for animals in our care, as that overall cost for one animal during their stay with us in on average $250, sometimes more, which is why we're hoping to raise $125,000 this month!! I know during these times, not everyone has a ton of spare change lying around – but in all honesty, the smallest amount you can give adds up!!! 

Being able to work for an agency that gives so much back to the community has been rewarding in and of itself, and we would not be able to do this without the support of donors.  I have loved working in the animal field with all my past positions but feeling the gratitude of the community around me here is the best feeling by far, and it shows in my day to day as I enjoy coming to work and am happier in general knowing I am making an impact!!  As there are numerous animals I haven’t interacted with personally, even seeing the impact saving these animals has on my colleagues makes me enjoy the work as we are a team and couldn’t do it without one another….and people like you!!
